The questions people actually ask
Why is it not priced per user?
Because charging per seat punishes you for letting drivers scan, and scanning is the one behaviour the entire ledger depends on. A company that gives ten drivers the app gets a better record than one sharing a single login — so the pricing should not push you toward the worse outcome. Every band is unlimited users, unlimited devices.
What counts as a tracked asset?
A physical unit with its own identifier — one cylinder, one keg, one tote. Retired units stop counting the month you retire them. Customers, orders, scans and invoices are unlimited in every band.
How does the billing actually work?
We invoice you, on net-30 terms, the way you invoice your own customers. There is no card on file and nothing charges itself — which also means nothing renews by surprise. Monthly or annual, your choice, and annual takes two months off.
What happens at the end of the trial?
Nothing is deleted and nothing bills. The trial runs 30 days without a card. When it ends you keep read-only access to everything you imported until you either start a subscription or export it.
Can we get our data back out?
Yes, at any time, without asking. Assets, customers, rentals, scans and invoices all export to CSV from inside the app. A ledger you cannot leave is not a ledger, it is a hostage situation.
Do you charge for the migration?
Not in Yard or Depot — the importer is the product, and if it cannot read your export that is our problem to fix. Network fleets that need historical transactions rebuilt out of an old system are quoted separately.
Is there a contract?
Month to month unless you choose annual, and no setup fee either way. Cancelling means telling us to stop invoicing you.
Still not sure which band you are in?
Tell us what you run and we will tell you what it costs — and whether it is a fit, including when it isn’t.
